Garmin fitness tracker is always competing shoulder to shoulder with FitBit for Kids. And I believe the two companies are doing a great job to make sure they design and distribute the best fitness trackers for both kids and adults. Of course, there are many positive things to say about each company. But I have always loved Garmin fitness trackers. So, I prefer them to FitBit. One of the best fitness trackers for kids is the Garmin Vivofit Junior, a cheap, yet premium, activity tracker that helps kids to stay active throughout the day, with minimal effort from parents. The question is this: what really makes this fitness tracker unique? Here’s what I think makes Garmin Unique. 1. Sleep Tracking Garmin Vivofit Jr. knocks it out of the park when it comes to tracking sleep. And it does it so well that you won’t have t worry about the accuracy of the data you receive. Up until now, though, this tracker hasn’t been able to monitor hours of sleep. Instead, what it does is to track a kid’s movement to determine whether they slept during the night or were just awake the whole night. 2. Time to Move Feature
The Time to Move is, of course, a top feature that makes this fitness tracker stand out. It determines how long your kid has spent at home without moving. Past the 60 minute, the tracker lights up, signaling to a kid that it is time to get moving. The Time to Move feature is great because it gets kids in motion without reminders from parents. 3. Step Counting I love Garmin Vivofit Jr. because it is a good step counter. It helps parents to know whether their kids walked and by how many steps. By evaluating the data, you are able to decide if your child is moving around the house or outside enough, as you would expect.
